For this lab the following ELA standards were covered:
-Understanding mood, theme, and setting in a reading assignment
-Successfully using sensory and figurative language in a writing assignment
-Compare and contrast mood and theme between two items
Students were worked with a partner to complete the three parts for this last which lasted three day total. The first part required students to identify and write about the mood and setting of the Tale-Tell Heart. For the second part, students created a meme for the story Tell-Tale Heart or for Edgar Allen Poe. The final part of this lab required students to create a one minute vlog comparing the mood of the Tell-Tale Heart to another story, novel, song, or movie of their choice.
