For this lab the following Science standards were covered: 

-Understanding and accurately labeling plant and animal cells

-Building a model of a plant or an animal cell

-Understanding/knowing cell terminology (i.e. nucleus, endoplasmic reticulum, cell wall, etc.)

 

Students selected partners and completed three stations. At station one, students built an animal or plant cell using legos or Minecraft. During station two, students labeled both animal and plant cells then explored the cell in 3D using the Quiver app. At station three, students use BrainPOP and explored cells and reinforced cell vocabulary terms.
